Dairy-Free Pineapple and Coconut smoothie (2)

Pineapple and Coconut Smoothie

Those with dairy intolerance shouldn’t miss out on all the healthy benefits of a smoothie, so here is one with a tangy taste that everyone can enjoy. This light smoothie can also be enjoyed as a fruity but healthy dessert that resembles sorbet which is perfect for cooling off in the summer or in warmer weather.

Using coconut milk is an alternative to cow’s milk because it does not contain lactose which is the most common source of dairy intolerance. However coconut milk also has an array of health benefits that you can read more about below which means that everyone should try drinking it.
The orange juice combined with the pineapple and coconut creates a blend of tropical flavors that will transport you to a remote island somewhere and leave you thoroughly refreshed.

Smoothie Benefits

  • It is also a great option for those looking to lose weight because it is a healthier type of saturated fatty acid called an MCFA which are used as a higher priority in the body and therefore aren’t usually stored as fat.

  • This added to the flaxseeds which provide a natural source of Omega-3 means this is one healthy smoothie all round.
